The Association is the next step.
Electricity for the community, managed by the community.
MEDA is based on the 7 Principles of Co-Operatives which call for Open Membership and Voluntary Participation, Democratic Member Control, Member Economic Participation, Autonomy and Independence, EDUCATION, TRAINING and INFORMATION, Co-Operation Between Associations and Concern for the Community.
Electrifying a village is the easy part. Making it sustainable takes effort, education and long-term support. To accomplish this, MEDA will work with aid organizations, government entities and corporate CSR groups to create a viable organization that can provide the villages with the foundation upon which to build.
